SHANE SIMMONS When you make your money writing for children's television, the darker material you omit has to come out somewhere. In Shane's case, it was in three scripts he wrote for a horror anthology series on Showtime. Of the three, Ashes To Ashes was the one whose horror was most psychological in nature—and the one most appropriate for a low-budget short film. It was, in fact, Shane's solid, professional screenplay that attracted so many other professionals to the project. Shane has written eight feature-length screenplays, as well as many television episodes, comic books, short stories and magazine articles.
